Tourism Maple Ridge & Pitt Meadows is able to assist the media with editorial or photographic needs. Our office is dedicated to arranging individualized itineraries as well as group press trips to suit your needs. We offer support to qualified journalists on assignment by assisting with press trips and research. We can provide the following services to media visiting the Maple Ridge/Pitt Meadows area on assignment:

What we can do for you:
- Interview contacts, story ideas, community and area information.
- Logistics assistance with media visit, ie: itinerary.
- Image library.
- Video footage (For editorial purposes only. Video Footage must be returned within 60 days of receipt.)
- Discounted or complimentary activities (in some cases).
- Discounted or complimentary accommodation (in some cases).
-Liaise with other tourism partners on your behalf.

What we need from you:
We will require a written request with arrival and departure dates several weeks in advance in order to make arrangements for visiting journalists. If possible, also indicate alternate dates. Include interests, accommodation needs, priorities and any particular interest in certain attractions, and any other details of special requirements. In order to provide a press trip that best suites your needs and assignment requirements, the following information would also be appreciated:

- A letter of assignment from your editor and a copy of one or two of your most recent articles, photographs and/or tapes (naturally, we do appreciate the nature of speculative assignments in the case of freelance journalists).
- Names and titles of visiting media.
- Information regarding story focus, description of publication/program with circulation, target audience, media outlet, as well as publication date/air date.
- If possible, indicate whether your article will mention tourism suppliers or just the destination.
- After your tour, it is imperative that you send us a copy of your articles or tapes that resulted from your assignment in Maple Ridge/Pitt Meadows (These are important pieces of information for our files).
