Located in Maple ridge, tucked away in the old growth forest of Golden Ears Provincial Park you will find Wildplay Element Park. Just a few steps down a sunny path and you are transported into another place, it’s like an Ewok village minus the Ewoks add a little Indiana Jones.
Sixty feet above you lies strings, tight ropes and zip lines all waiting to thrill and challenge you. The course is self guided, so you can challenge your best time, or take a couple of minutes to contemplate whether you brought your courage with you or left it in the car.
After gearing up, and listening attentively to our safety instructions, we are on our first challenge. I soon realize as I watch a person , a few years my junior, mastering the course like a trapeze artist as I stumble and sway, that you may find a few more drunken pirates in my lineage than ballerinas.
I make it through all skill levels and challenges feeling energized and refreshed. The beautiful back drop and fresh air will have you feeling invigorated. So weather you want to get the kids off the couch, your partner out of the house, your co-workers out of the office or even challenge your boot camp recruits, Wildplay is a fantastic way to get out and have some fun.
