Golf, Wine & Horseback Riding 3 Day:
Start your day off with a leisurely breakfast at the Big Feast restaurant and enjoy the cornmeal blueberry pancakes with locally grown blueberries or one of the many other delicious items. Then head out to one of our many beautiful, scenic golf courses such as Meadow Gardens, Swan E Set or Golden Ears Golf Club. For a little variety try doing your first 9 holes at one golf course and finish your last 9 at another. Afterwards grab a drink and some dinner on the Swan E Set patio with great views of the Pitt River.
Book ahead for a tour of Blue Heron Fruit Winery. Be shown around the family run cranberry and blueberry farm and then enjoy a tasting of the wines made from these delicious fruits. While visiting the gift shop pick up a bottle of wine, get some locally made cheese from Golden Ears Cheesecrafters Ltd. and bread for your lunch during a relaxing bike ride along the banks of the Fraser River. Finish the day off with dinner at Roast Bistro.
Horseback riding on one of the 1 hour, 2 hour or 1/2 day trails with Equutrails is a great way to check out Golden Ears Park. Pick up a delicious hand made sandwich from the Lunch Doctor before hand to take along with you to picnic at one of the beautiful lookout points. Afterwards check out a show at The Act which offers a wide variety of live music, theater and events as a nice way to cap off your day.
Camping Adventure 3 Day:
Set up camp at Alouette Lake located in Golden Ears Park where you will have majestic views of the lakes, mountains and rivers. Once settled rent a canoe or kayak, or bring your own, and experience one of the best things BC has to offer: nature. Maybe try to try your skills at fishing and see if you can catch a rainbow trout or cutthroat for dinner that can’t get any fresher.
Located in the high country between Alouette and Stave lake is the Mount Crickmer hike. From the summit are views of Stave Lake and other smaller lakes as well as the familiar peaks of the Golden Ears and Mount Robe Red. This hike is a full day deal, estimated 8 hours and is pretty steep. For those who want a less intense hike try the Lower Falls Trail which is a 30-45 min trail that leads you close to the rivers edge and has a view up Evens Valley. There are also many other trails that range in length and steepness to choose from.
Take a journey to the Haney Farmer’s Market to see and sample some of the wonderful local fruits, vegetables and homemade products. Pick up some of your favorites to take home with you or just for lunch. Head down to the beach with some of your local produce and have a picnic in the wilderness. Take a swim in the cooling waters of Aloutte Lake to refresh before sitting around the campfire for the night.
Outdoor Experience 2 Day:
Check into your rented cabin surrounded by natural beauty on Loon Lake. Once your all set up spend a couple of hours experiencing the Maple Ride & Pitt Meadows Circle Farm Tour. Pick up your food supplies along this self-guided tour of some of our local farms and producers.
Pack yourself some food and head out to the Pitt Meadows airport to start a helicopter adventure with Prism Helicopters. Stop off on one of the many lookout points to have your picnic up in the clouds overlooking the beautiful Fraser Valley.
